This Privacy Policy applies to Mountain Peak Painters, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), an Idaho-licensed painting contractor (RCE #1881408) based in the Treasure Valley. It covers information collected through our website at mountainpeakpainters.com, our customer admin app at admin.mountainpeakpainters.com, our email communications, and our SMS text messaging.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you:
- Submit our online quote request form (name, email, phone number, project address, project description)
- Reply to our emails or text messages
- Accept a quote or pay an invoice through our customer portal
- Sign a service contract or invoice
We also automatically collect basic technical information when you visit our website (browser type, pages viewed, IP address) for security and analytics purposes.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your quote requests and provide painting services
- Send transactional emails and SMS messages related to your project (appointment confirmations, quote and invoice delivery, payment receipts, schedule updates, review requests)
- Process payments through our payment processor (Stripe)
- Maintain records required by Idaho contractor licensing and tax law
- Follow up on quotes you've requested and respond to questions
4. SMS / text message communications
If you provide a phone number and have given consent (verbally, in writing, or by submitting our contact form acknowledging this policy), we may send you SMS text messages related to your painting project. These may include:
- Quote and invoice notifications with links to view them online
- Appointment and crew arrival confirmations
- Schedule updates
- Payment receipts and reminders
- Job completion and review requests
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information collected by Mountain Peak Painters, LLC — including mobile phone numbers and SMS consent — are excluded from any third-party sharing.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers we use to operate our business — for example, Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Supabase (our database host). Each of these is bound by their own privacy and security obligations and only receives the information needed to perform their function.
- Legal compliance — when required by court order, subpoena, tax authority, or other lawful process.
- Business protection — when necessary to protect our rights, the safety of our crew or customers, or to investigate fraud.
We do not share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in records, or text message content with third parties for marketing purposes — ever.
6. Data security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information you provide, including encrypted database storage, encrypted email and SMS transmission, and access controls that limit who at our company can view customer information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data and we promptly notify affected customers if we ever experience a breach.
7. How long we keep your information
We retain customer records (quotes, invoices, contracts, payment records) for at least seven (7) years to comply with IRS recordkeeping requirements and Idaho contractor licensing rules. After that period, we may securely delete inactive customer information unless you have an active project with us.
If you opt out of SMS, your phone number is suppressed from outbound SMS but we may keep a record of the opt-out itself to honor your preference.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what information we have about you
- Request correction of information that's wrong
- Request deletion of your information (subject to the retention requirements above)
- Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP
- Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails using the link at the bottom of those messages

9. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. If we make material changes, we'll notify active customers by email or text.
